Analysing music magazine covers - NME (5-11-11), November 2011

I looked at an issue of NME from November which featured a story on the Arctic Monkeys, i looked at the same parts of a cover as I did with the Total Guitar and Lonely Planet magazines.

Examples of these are having a very bold and distinctive font to make it recognizable and iconic, They also used a very high quality, full page photo to emphasize the quality and worth of the magazine and convince the target audience of the magazine to buy it.
They also use the colours red, white and blue to emphasise that it is a very British magazine, but to also suggest that they also feature American music as they are also related to those colours. Finally they agree with many of the conventions of this type of music magazine as it uses large pictures and bright colours.
